Role Summary:
We are seeking an inspiring and results-driven General Manager to lead the launch and day-to-day operations of a world-class Observation Deck, the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee a high-profile, dynamic attraction while shaping its future success!
Responsibilities:
A. Opening Stage
- Coordination with project team to follow up work construction
- Collaboration with other department due to opening stage (Marketing, Event, Graphic Design, etc.)
B. Operational Strategy Development and Execution
- Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive growth and improve efficiency
- Safety of the public, as well as that of the employees. You will have the concern of the respect of the safety measures inherent to such a building and their good application by the teams
- Align operational plans with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation
- Identify areas for improvement in operational processes and workflows
C. Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and manage operational teams across various departments
- Ensure effective communication between departments and teams to facilitate smooth operations
D. Process Optimization
- Continuously access and improve operational processes to increase productivity and reduce costs
E. Budgeting and Financial Management
- Collaborate with the finance department to create and manage budgets for the operations department
- Monitor expenditures to ensure operations remain within budgetary constraints
- Drive cost-effective practices while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
- A business and/or hospitality related qualification (BA/MBA)
- Relevant senior level experience in operational management (min. 10 years) within the hospitality/City tourism industry/or Culture and Attraction
- An Experience on an opening site is definitively an added value
- Proven track record of managing large teams and optimizing operational processes
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource planning
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- International mindset (international work experience and/or expose to international culture)
- Fluent in English
