Role Summary

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will manage design briefs, site surveys, oversee all design stages, evaluate consultant progress, coordinate with consultants and suppliers, lead design drawing coordination, design uncovered areas, prepare Bills of Quantity/Items and tender drawings, supervise construction stages, support inspections and testing, stay updated on market trends, and assist other departments with technical queries.

Responsibilities:

A. Design Stages

1. Collecting design brief & criteria from management
2. Doing site survey with parties related
3. Assisting (follow-up & review) all design stages of the project (preliminary concept, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, etc.) from in-house side
4. Evaluating consultant progress claim, before sign by management
5. Assisting (follow-up) the permit drawing to the city authority
6. Communicating & coordinating design issues with consultants, suppliers/vendors related
7. Leading coordination/superimpose architecture, structure, MEP, interior, landscaping design drawing during design development & for construction stage
8. Designing area that not covered by consultants/specialist
9. Preparing Bill of Quantity / Bill of Item with project controller if necessary
10. Preparing the tender drawings as part of tender documents

B. Construction Stages

1. Preparing the “For Construction Drawing” to submit to Project Management team
2. Do periodic supervision to the job site with CM team (site supervisor / inspector related)
3. Supporting CM team during all related inspection from city
4. Supporting CM team during testing and commissioning

C. Others

1. Updating the current design knowledge in the market (example : attending any exhibition related, meet supplier to get update information of products)
2. Supporting the commercial team of other department for queries related to technical of projects

Requirement :

1. Bachelor degree in architecture / interior design
2. Minimum 8 year’s experienced in high rise building projects
3. Possess good computer skills (CAD, Computer Graphic application)
4. Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
5. Proficient in English (written and verbal)
6. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Strong in creativity and analytical thinking
8. Results driven
9. A persistent, outgoing, highly committed, trustworthy and hardworking individual that has a strong commitment to success
10. Able to work under pressure and willing to work long hours (if needed)
