Observatory Deck: An Introduction and Future Collaborations at the Travel Agent Gathering – Thamrin Nine
New Connections at the Observatory Deck Travel Agent Gathering
On February 26, 2025, Thamrin Nine welcomed a distinguished group of travel agents from across Indonesia. Held in the heart of Jakarta’s central business district, the event offered attendees an exclusive preview of Indonesia’s newest tourist attraction.
The event, titled Travel Agent Gathering: New Tourist Attraction, First Observatory Deck in Indonesia, celebrated the much-anticipated launch of the country’s first-ever Observatory Deck. Bringing together key players in the travel industry, the gathering was attended by 17 representatives from nine well-established local travel agencies, including Dwidaya Wisata Indonesia, Traveloka, KLOOK, Astrindo Travel, Antavaya, Obaja Tour, and others. This exclusive event provided an opportunity for industry professionals to explore the attraction, exchange insights, and discuss potential collaborations to enhance tourism experiences.
Event Highlights
The Travel Agent Gathering embodied the phrase “The Sky’s the Limit,” serving as a defining moment to engage travel professionals and foster future collaborations, while highlighting the Observatory Deck’s significance as a premier attraction at Thamrin Nine.
Tiar Mitha, as MC, opened the presentation with insights into the venue and its facilities. Hizkia Gouw, Associate Director of Marketing, followed by showcasing Thamrin Nine’s achievements—including its role as the developer of Indonesia’s two tallest buildings, its world-class amenities, and ambitious future projects—proving how Thamrin Nine is “quite literally at the top of everything.”
Sandrina Martin, Director of Lifestyle at Thamrin Nine, introduced Indonesia’s first Observatory Deck, offering breathtaking panoramic views from Jakarta’s highest point. Poised to become a new city landmark and top destination, it stands alongside world-renowned observation decks like those at the Burj Khalifa, Tokyo Sky Tree, and Summit One Vanderbilt. With its modern design and immersive experience, it adds a fresh dimension to Jakarta’s skyline and tourism scene.
Jakarta’s Playground in the Sky
The city’s newest public attraction is eagerly anticipated—and for good reason.
From the 85th to 87th floors, visitors will discover a one-of-a-kind observation space featuring mirrored reflections, interactive installations, and a tranquil café, creating a dynamic and immersive experience above the city.
From the 99th to 109th floors, an expansive multi-level outdoor experience awaits. Guests can explore immersive spaces, walk on glass floors, and unwind at a pool bar—all while soaking in breathtaking panoramic views of Jakarta’s skyline.
Up in the Sky, Collaborations Took Flight
The event culminated in an immersive site visit to the Observatory Deck, where travel agents had the chance to see the project up close. Following the journey of a typical visitor, they began at the ticketing area in Agora before making their way through key attractions, including the Sky Garden, Campanile, and ultimately, the Sky Box.
To provide a comprehensive understanding of the visitor experience, the travel agents also explored the designated bus parking area, gaining valuable insight into the site’s accessibility and logistical flow. Leveraging their industry expertise, they shared thoughtful perspectives on emerging tourism trends, visitor expectations, and potential opportunities for enhancing the overall guest experience.
By the end of the day, the exchange of ideas had led to the collection of invaluable feedback, the fostering of meaningful discussions, and the groundwork for exciting future collaborations. The visit also sparked creative ideas for strategic marketing partnerships, opening doors for mutual support and innovative promotional efforts that will elevate the project’s reach and impact.
For travel agents eager to join this groundbreaking project, Thamrin Nine invites inquiries about partnerships and collaborations.
